Helsinki Partners is looking for a
Senior Advisor, at Convention Bureau, starting Mid- August 2026
We are looking for a Senior Advisor to join our Convention Bureau (CVB) team to drive international business events to Helsinki. In your role you will promote Helsinki to mainly international business event organizers, but also to association congress organizers.
Role and responsibilities:
Plan and execute sales activities to attract business events to Helsinki, aligned with Helsinki Partner’s and City of Helsinki’s strategy.
Generate and manage high-quality leads and proposals from bid stage to conversion.
Build and maintain strong relationships with international clients, local partners, and other industry stakeholders.
Represent Helsinki at international sales and promotional events and workshops.
Organise and host familiarisation trips and site inspections for potential event organisers.
Support destination marketing initiatives and contribute to CVB’s website and social media content.
Collaborate closely with other Helsinki Partners’ business units and teams as well as external partners working towards building Helsinki’s international reputation.
In your role, you would be working in the Investment Attraction and Convention Bureau Unit, and you would report to Head of Convention Bureau. Position is permanent and full time. Our working language is English. Job requirements
Requirements
Degree in international marketing, tourism, hospitality, event management, or similar, with minimum 5 years of sales experience.
Experience in the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences & Exhibitions) industry.
Strong sales, networking, and relationship-management skills.
Excellent team player who actively contributes to a positive and collaborative work environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication in English, other languages are considered an advantage.
Highly organised, proactive, and with excellent project management skills
Ability and willingness to actively use CRM system and other technical tools and data in daily work.
Good knowledge of Helsinki as a MICE destination and passion for promoting the city.
Creative, open and curious minded person.
